Stephen Ochan, Hany Ramadan, and Frankie Alvarez were selected to represent the SMAA in
the Senior All-Star Game, sponsored by the Maine Special Olympics. Coach Costigan and Massabessic coach, Alan Curtis, were also selected to represent the SMAA side. The game will be held at
8:00pm, Tuesday, August 4th, at Westbrook High School. The women's game will kick off at 6:00pm.
Summer Soccer registration is now open. Click here to sign-up! Registration will close on June 8th, so hurry! This team is open to all 2015 high school students who also plan on playing soccer for the school team this Fall. All players must submit the online registration form and pay a $15 player fee to participate in the Summer League program. Payment plans can be arranged on a case-by-case basis. The Summer League includes games and training, and a game day shirt. This is the best opportunity for coaches to see you play in preparation for the regular fall school season tryouts. There are no tryouts for Summer League team.
Returning for his fourth varsity season is veteran captain, Jonathan Bujambi, who is joined by Paolo DeMarco and Christian Castaneda, along with goalkeeper, Orey Dutton. The four returners look to fill the shoes of All-American, Stephen Ochan, and standout midfielder, Frankie Alvarez, along with a list of other strong senior leaders who will be graduating this June.
The Rams finishes 13-2-1 on the season (12-1-1 regular season) with their best record in seven years. Ochan, Ramadan, and Mbongo received SMAA 1st Team; Bujambi received SMAA 2nd Team; and Castaneda, Adnan, and Dutton received SMAA Honorable Mention. Ochan was also voted SMAA Offensive Player Of The Year, All-American, and Gatorade Player of The Year, while Costigan was selected SMAA Coach Of The Year.
